Also, Hayes is not getting anything near Krieder money, he had a terrible season last year. He is in line to get something like 1.5M for two years. No chance in hell he gets a "similar" deal to Krieders,

Hayes made 900K last year with 2.8M in bonuses that I don't think he earned any of them.

Will be pretty surprised to see him get more than 3-4M over two years as an RFA coming off a bad season.

More importantly...How does this news effect the impending Gergensens for Fowler and E Kane for a bag of puck trades?

I still think it's a sign and trade - they just have to work out the cap room - it's going to be difficult with Subban also coming to Toronto.

From The Buffalo News -

Three Buffalo Police detectives were seen meeting Kane outside the Central Booking Bureau in City Court around 11 a.m.. They put handcuffs on Kane and accompanied him into the City Court building. Kane turned and walked away from a Buffalo News reporter when she asked them if he had any comment.

Although Kane voluntarily turned himself in to police, he still proclaims his innocence and plans to fight the charges, his attorney, Paul J. Cambria, told The News.

“Without a doubt, he plans to defend himself against these charges.”

The attorney said it is his understanding that Kane will face one misdemeanor count of criminal trespass and up to four counts of non-criminal harassment.

Not gonna happen. I live in the Tampa area. Stamkos signed discounted contract to stay in Tampa. He will not be moved. Too bad cause I hate the Lightning.

He simply wanted to go home. Cant blame a guy for that. He will be a legend in that city for bringing the cup home. Plus its a MAJOR WORLD WIDE KNOWN city. Add in all the endorsements he is getting there and the guy really had no other choice BUT to sign with the Leafs.
